** UHQCD-R (Ultimate High Quality CD) **

UHQCD (Ultimate High Quality CD) is a high-quality CD made by Japan's Memory-Tech with a new manufacturing method using photopolymer transfer technology and a special alloy. It can be played on any CD player.

<벚꽃엔딩>과 <여수 밤바다>가 수록되었으니 구태여 부연 설명은 필요치 않은 버스커버스커의 1집 앨범이 발매된 날짜가 2012년 3월 29일,
그 1집 앨범과 자켓을 포함하여 모든 면에서 연장선상에 위치한, 약 3개월 차이로 이어서 발매된 버스커버스커 1집 마무리앨범이 발매된 날짜는 2012년 6월 21일로 본 [버스커버스커 1집 & 1집 마무리 10주년 에디션] 음반의 예약판매가 시작되는 바로 오늘로부터 정확하게 10년 전의 일이다.

[버스커버스커 1집 & 1집 마무리 10주년 에디션] 음반은 버스커버스커의 명반 1집과 1집 마무리앨범의 발매 10주년을 기념하여 기획한 합본 리패키지 앨범이다. 이전 언젠가처럼 세 멤버들에게 손글씨 등 이번 10주년을 기념할만한 작은 콘텐츠라도 수급을 요청해볼까 고민하지 않았던 것은 아니지만 결국 그러지는 않기로 결정했다.
1집 마무리 음반은 2020년도 봄을 끝으로 음반 시장에서 품절된 상태이고, 봄이면 차트에 어김없이 다시 등장하는 1집 음반도 당연한 이야기이지만 발매 10년이 지나는 동안 음반 판매량은 상당히 줄어든 상태였기에(마침 이번 달에 음반 재고도 모두 떨어졌다.) 무리하여 새롭게 콘텐츠를 추가로 수급하지는 않더라도 '발매 10주년 기념' 합본 발매 그 자체의 의미에만 집중하기로 하였기 때문이다.

하지만 단 한가지 변화를 시도한 포인트는 (좋은 반응이 있을지도, 반대로 전혀 그렇지 않을 수도 있지만) 특별히 버스커버스커 음원을 일본으로 보내서 소위 고음질 CD라 불리우는 UHQCD로 만들어 수입하기로 한 것이다. 그리고 비싼 항공 운임에 그냥 UHQCD만 들여오기 아쉬워서 옆칸에 일본에서 생산된 DW주얼케이스까지 같이 실어와서 만들게 되었는데 패키징 구현에 대한 부분은 프리뷰샷을 참고 바란다.

특히 UHQCD 에 대한 기능적 설명은 아래 제조사의 설명을 붙이니 예약구매 전 반드시 필독해주셔야할 것 같다. (모든 CD플레이어에서 일단 재생은 된다하니 판매를 해야하는 입장에서 얼마나 다행인지 모른다.)

마지막으로 아마 제작사에서 알려드리지 않을 경우 모르고 넘어갈 수 있는 버스커버스커 1집의 판매량을 적어본다.
2012년 3월 29일 발매 이후 현재까지 CD 182,400장 판매, 단일 LP 3,900장 판매, 작년도 합본 LP 14,800장 판매까지 도합 판매량이 20만장이 넘고 있다.
(1집 만큼의 범대중 킬링 트랙들이 수록되지 않은 마무리음반은 57,000장이 판매되었는데 이 역시 절대 적은 숫자는 아니다.)
현재처럼 조직적으로 작동하는 팬사인회도 없던 시절, 그리고 랜덤 포토카드 한장 없는 음반이 10년간 꾸준히 20만장을 판매했다라… 다시금 밀리언셀러 음반이 흔치 않게 등장하는 요즈음 대단한 성과가 아니라고 생각하는 사람도 있겠지만 반대로 이 놀라움을 인정해주는 사람도 다수 있을 것이기에 적어보았다.

하지만 분명한 것은 버스커버스커 1집은(그리고 연장선상의 마무리앨범은) 발매 10주년 에디션 타이틀을 걸고 재발매 되는 본 캠페인이 절대로 어색하지 않은,
10년 전 당시 청춘이었던 이들은 물론 청춘을 간직한 모든 이들의 마음을 어루만지는 우리나라 최고의 명반 중 하나라는 데에 동감하지 않을 사람이 매우 적을 것이라는 것.
