The more powerful music style and simple yet more charismatic choreography are intended to more clearly show the message of the 'FACE it' series that we want to create together. This album, which will show off the most natural strengths and charms of each member of VERIVERY without any superfluity, firmly shows the group VERIVERY that has grown one step further with the charismatic charm of 7 members of 7 colors.

The album's jacket photos and music video, which intuitively capture the story of 'Face Me', the meaning of the album's name [FACE ME], show the true selves of each member while also projecting the inner side of the album. The meaning was concisely contained. Black and white and color photos, as well as photographs with a mixture of soft and charismatic images, show the members' inner appearances and sometimes hidden behind the lighting, and through this, they tried to capture the face of themselves.

데뷔 후 1년, 총 3개의 앨범을 발매하며 국내외 다양한 활동을 보여줬던 VERIVERY, 청량돌로서의 싱그럽고 소년미 넘치는 모습을 보여줬던 VERIVERY는 한층 성숙하고 변화된 모습으로 2020년을 시작한다.

세상을 정면돌파 하고 지금과는 다른 차원으로 도약하고자 하는 여정을 담아낼 ‘FACE it’ 시리즈로 돌아온 그들은, 자기 자신들을 포함하여 때로는 좌절하고, 현실의 벽에 부딪히며, 상처받고 방황하는 모든 이들과 함께 이 스토리를 만들어가고자 한다. ‘FACE it’은 그 모든 이야기들을 담아낼 슬로건이자 VERIVERY가 대중들에게 전달하고픈 희망이다.

FACE it 시리즈의 첫 번째 에피소드를 담은 [FACE ME] 앨범은 VERIVERY가 대중들과 함께 만들어가고 싶은 새로운 스토리의 시작을 담았다. VERIVERY는 자기 자신을 마주해보는 것으로 이 이야기를 시작하고자 한다.
무한한 가능성이 잠재되어 있지만 때론 소외되고 단절된 상처받은 청춘들이 자기 자신을 마주하고, 나 자신을 똑바로 바라보는 것을 통해 이 세상에 단 하나뿐인 ‘나’를 인정하고 사랑하는 과정을 담아내고자 하였다. 나의 수많은 모습들을 나 스스로 똑바로 바라볼 때, 우리 모두는 각자 세상에 단 하나뿐인 유니크한 존재가 된다. VERIVERY 또한 수많은 아이돌 그룹 중 VERIVERY만의 유니크한 그룹으로 자리매김하기 위해, 그들 역시도 이번 앨범을 통해 본인 자신들을 정면으로 마주하고자 한다.

앨범명인 [FACE ME]의 의미인 ‘나를 마주한다’ 라는 스토리를 직관적으로 담아낸 이번 자켓사진들과 뮤직비디오는, 멤버 개개인의 본연의 모습들을 보여주면서도 그들의 내면을 투영하는 듯한 효과들을 통하여 앨범의 의미를 함축적으로 담아내었다. 흑백과 컬러 사진들, 그리고 부드러운 모습과 카리스마 가득한 모습들이 교차된 사진들을 통해 멤버들의 내면의 모습들과 때로는 조명 뒤에 감춰진 듯한 모습들을 보여주고, 이를 통해 자신에 대한 마주함을 담아내고자 하였다.
나이지만 내가 아닌 듯 묘하게 다른 나의 모습을 직면하는 순간을 시각적으로 담아낸 이번 뮤직 비디오는, 마치 복제된 자기 자신을 마주하듯 각 멤버들이 한 프레임안에 합성되어 보여지고 VERIVERY 역시 그룹 VERIVERY를 정면으로 마주하는 등, 직관적인 시각화를 통해 이번 앨범 [FACE ME]에 담긴 의미를 함축적으로 표현해 내었다.

크리에이티브 아이돌로서 전매특허로 선보이고 있는 VERIVERY의 DIY컨텐츠가 더욱 업그레이드되어 돌아왔다. 더욱 성장한 모습을 보여주기 위한 멤버들의 노력과 고민들이 고스란히 담겨있는 이번 DIY 컨텐츠를 통해 VERIVERY가 가지고 있는 무한한 잠재력을 확인할 수 있다.
그간 수작업으로 진행하였던 앨범의 디자인은, 펜마우스와 디자인툴을 사용하기 시작하며 그들의 생각을 더욱 디테일하게 구현해내면서도 퀄리티 높은 디자인으로 완성되었고, 멤버 각자가 팬들에게 보여주고 싶은 자기 자신의 이야기들을 각자의 스타일로 담아 내었다.
국내에서 내로라하는 실력 있는 카메라팀, 조명팀과 함께 만든 이번 DIY뮤직비디오는 지난 VERI-CHILL앨범의 DIY뮤직비디오에서 처음으로 선보였던 세계관을 더욱 구체적으로 구현하였고, 멤버들이 생각하고 해석하는 [FACE ME]의 의미를 함께 담아내고자 하였다.
