BTS releases their fourth mini-album <When My Love Blooms pt.2>. BTS, which showed their growth with the mini-album <When My Love Blooms pt.1> released in April, received enthusiastic cheers from young people around the world. Released on November 30th, <Hwayangyeonhwa pt.2> is an album that completes the youth trilogy, delivering the brilliant energy of youth to music fans of their age who are living 'the most beautiful moment of life' like them.

[Energy of Youth]
Seven young men on the border of twenty. BTS, who have just entered their adolescence, sang about their youth endangered by an uncertain future in their previous work <When My Love Blooms pt.1>. In <Hwayangyeonhwa pt.2>, which is newly released after 7 months, BTS sings of youth running with all their might, embracing all the anxiety and precariousness that was shown in the previous work. Now, those who are getting to know the bitterness of life little by little fully guess that life is not just beautiful. Nevertheless, they just run forward. All she had were two poor legs and a hot chest. There is nothing to do but run. In the middle of this helpless youth, they are bumped and broken, and are covered with scars and cry out. It's okay to fall down, it's okay to get hurt. So now, it's beautiful.
Following the previous album, BTS' members such as Rap Monster, Suga, J-Hope, V, and Jungkook are listed on producing and composing credits, showing further musical growth. The lyrics got deeper and the song got hotter. The youth trilogy ends with <When My Love Blooms pt.2>, but they are just standing at the starting point. Never Mind, BTS' run begins now.

[Dream and reality, BTS in between] In <Hwayangyeonhwa pt.1>, BTS captured a section of precarious youth against the backdrop of cherry blossoms in full bloom. And in <When My Love Blooms pt.2>, they once again escaped the stuffy studio to capture another side of youth, the running youth.
The eyes of the members wandering on the shabby back alleys of Incheon, on top of risky container boxes, and on railroad tracks are innocent yet rebellious. The appearance of BTS, which captures the energy of youth without compromising with reality, is no different from that of their peers, forming a consensus.
On the other hand, the photos taken in Jeju are full of unreal happiness like a fairy tale. Colorful costumes, props such as soap bubbles, and the vast sea and green fields highlight the image of a paradise that only exists in a dream. In particular, 'butterflies' appearing in various places are an important medium that plays a role in traveling between reality and dreams, and intertwined with Chuang-tzu's 'Butterfly Dream', it gives a dreamy feeling of not knowing what is a dream and what is reality.

The title song of the fourth mini-album <When My Love Blooms pt.2> and the end of the youth trilogy, 'RUN' is a light hip-hop dance song with Brit-rock sensibility added. It starts quietly with an electric guitar sound that evokes a faint sensibility, and gradually emits powerful energy towards the second half. The image of youth who does not know how to give up is overlapped in the song of BTS who fiercely yearn for love, saying "I can only do this anyway, I can do nothing but love you" while being pushed and bumped into. The recklessness of running towards the end despite being torn and suffering is beautiful because it is only now. 1. INTRO: Never Mind
It is an intro song that announces the start of <When My Love Blooms pt.2>, and contains the pivotal world view of the album. Following the intro of <When My Love Blooms pt.1>, Suga took on the main role again this time. If the last intro expressed the confusion and worries that boys experience, this intro spurred on that failure and frustration are nothing to youth, and that the more they do, the more they move forward. It is an intense hip-hop song mixed with rock elements, and the hook of the rapper line shouting 'If you feel like you're going to bump into it, step harder' and 'NEVER MIND' elicits a strong thrill. You can also feel the impression of being in the middle of the concert hall by using the live sound of the actual BTS concert.

02.RUN
The title song 'RUN' is an impressive song with an electric guitar line that evokes an oriental feeling, and continues the nostalgia and intensity shown in 'I NEED U', the title song of <When My Love Blooms pt.1>. Intense rock elements were added to the self-consoling lyrics, "It's okay to fall down" and "It's okay to get hurt," resulting in a lyrical yet energetic song. It is a song that most intensively expresses the concept of <When My Love Blooms pt.2>, and even Rap Monster, Suga, V, and Jungkook are listed in the composition credits, showing a more mature musical side.

03. Butterfly
It is a new song that was inserted into the video of 'Hwayangyeonhwa on stage: prologue' and received an explosive response even before its release, and it was misunderstood (?) that it was the title song of the new album. It is a song that digests future R&B and chillstep elements tried in 'I NEED U' in BTS's own way. In particular, Rap Monster's intense rapping at the ending can be said to be the best part. It is a song that contains the confused emotions of youth as it is, and depicts an image as if wandering in a dream that you want to believe is reality. Compared to the music that BTS has shown so far, it contains a more mature sensibility, raising expectations for what kind of music BTS will play in the future.

04. Whalien 52
Here is 'The World's Loneliest Whale'. Also known as '52 Whale'. This whale, which sings at a high frequency of 52 Hz, cannot communicate anything with other whales that normally communicate on a frequency of 12 to 25 Hz. Nonetheless, 52 Whales continue to sing. lonely, steady.
Born as a compound word of 52 Whale and 'Alien' (unfamiliar, strange/alien), this song is a lonely and difficult song like 52 Whale, but it contains the heart of BTS who have no choice but to continue singing like that. In the early 2000s, the high pitch vocal sampling technique that allows you to feel the vibe of hip-hop along with the old school rhythm source was added to create a song that evokes lonely yet nostalgic feelings.

05. Ma City
It is an exciting alternative hip hop song that continues the funk vibe of 'Heungtan Boys', a track in <When My Love Blooms pt.1>. It is a song of praise for the hometown following ‘Paldogangsan’, which sang the story of their hometown in dialect. Along with the affection for "," it contains the awareness of the traces of reality that have been walked so far. You can enjoy the excitement of BTS, which boasts the brilliant wit and beagle beauty of K-pop groups leading the Korean Wave.

06. Baepsae
It is a trap genre song with an impressive oriental bell pluck line. It has a trendy yet exciting beat, reminiscent of 'Dope', the follow-up song to <When My Love Blooms pt.1>. It seems like a fun party tune song, but the lyrics contain a message about the recent social conditions, and contain BTS's philosophy to tell the story of their generation. Like "They call me the crow, I've been swearing at this generation, thanks to the stork, my crotch is tang-tang", the rhyme was tastefully used to make it fun to listen to, and the thoughts on social polarization and spoon theory, which are the most social issues these days, are expressed in Bangtan's own language. 07. SKIT : One night in a strange city
It contains the thoughts of BTS members who successfully completed their <When My Love Blooms pt.1> activities. The 11-month-long world tour '2015 BTS LIVE TRILOGY EPISODE II. THE RED BULLET' and at the same time as <When My Love Blooms pt.2> last summer, when we were busy preparing the album, the stories we gathered at the hotel on the last day of our South American tour were recorded.

08. Dead leaves
A future R&B song that creates an oriental atmosphere. 'Dead Leaves', which compares precarious love to falling autumn leaves, is an extension of the story of 'I NEED U'. Like the songs that Suga has produced so far, such as 'Let me know' and 'Tomorrow', this song shares the context of delicate emotions, and you can see the true face of Suga, a producer who is gradually growing musically.

09. OUTRO: House Of Cards
This song is also a new song that was previously released in the video 'Hwayangyeonhwa on stage: prologue', and it appeared at the end of the video, creating a meaningful atmosphere. It is the most restrained but emotional alternative R&B song among the OUTROs released so far, and vocal lines such as Jimin and V stand out.

방탄소년단이 네 번째 미니앨범 <화양연화 pt.2>를 발표한다. 4월 발매한 미니앨범 <화양연화 pt.1>으로 훌쩍 성장한 모습을 보여준 방탄소년단은 전세계 청춘들의 뜨거운 환호를 받았다. 11월 30일 공개하는 <화양연화 pt.2>는 청춘 2부작을 완성하는 앨범으로, 자신들처럼 ‘인생의 가장 아름다운 순간’을 살아가고 있는 또래 음악팬들에게 청춘의 찬란한 에너지를 전달한다.

[청춘의 에너지]

동양적인 분위기를 자아내는 Future R&B곡. 위태로운 사랑을 떨어지는 가을 낙엽에 비유한 '고엽'은 ‘I NEED U’의 스토리와 연장선에 있는 곡이다. ‘Let me know’, ‘Tomorrow’ 등 그 동안 슈가가 프로듀싱해 온 곡들처럼 섬세한 감성의 맥락을 함께 하는 곡으로, 점점 음악적으로 성장해 가고 있는 프로듀서 슈가의 진면목을 확인할 수 있다.

09. OUTRO : House Of Cards
이 곡 역시 ‘화양연화 on stage : prologue’ 영상으로 사전에 공개된 신곡으로, 영상 말미에 등장해 의미심장한 분위기를 자아냈다. 그 동안 선보인 OUTRO 중 가장 절제됐지만 감정이 깊은 얼터너티브 알앤비(Alternative R&B)곡으로 지민, V 등 보컬라인들이 돋보인다.
