이번 앨범에서 자칭하는 'X'는, '환영받지 못하는 특별한 것'에 대한 이야기이다. 기존의 질서에 저항하고, 틀에 갇히는 것을 싫어하는, 표현에 거리낌이 없고, 자유를 원하는 것을 넘어, 반항과 혁명에 가까운 이들의 모습은 자칫 타인에게 오해를 불러일으킬 수 있는 위험한 모습으로 보이기도 한다. 그럼에도 불구하고 'X' 그 자체의 모습들을 선보이는 이번 앨범은 KISS OF LIFE가 마치 우리에게 '그대로도 괜찮아, 그것도 너 인걸'이라고 말해주는 듯하다.
“모든 선입견과 편견, 그리고 X”
보고 싶은 것만 보여주는 것, 보고 싶은 것만 보는 것, 모든 편견과 선입견에 대한 거부 'X'를 이야기한다. 편리함을 대가로 인식과 사고의 자유를 잃어가고, 셀 수 없이 쏟아지는 정보들은 생각조차 멈추게 한다. 지금 보고 있는 이것이, 지금 하고 있는 이 생각이, 온전한 나의 것인지조차 모르겠다. '보고싶어 하는 것만 보여주는 것'이 문제인 걸까, 아니면 '보고싶어 하는 것만 보는 것'이 문제일까? 어쩌면 '이 모든 것을 거부하는 것'이야 말로, 진정한 자유를 위한 첫 발걸음이 아닐까?' 라는 서두를 띄워본다.

힙합과 락의 조화가 돋보이는 강렬한 기타 리프 기반의 곡 'Bad News'와 감각적인 비트가 인상적인 Soul/R&B 곡 'Nobody Knows' 서로 다른 두 곡을 더블 타이틀로 구성하여 독특하고 유기적인 호흡을 만든다. '진실' 혹은 '루머'를 구분하는 '관점의 양면성'이라는 주제를 날카롭지만 익살스럽게 표현하는 가사, 그리고 이를 연출하는 두 편의 뮤직비디오는 대중들에게 또 다른 숨겨진 감상 포인트를 선사한다.
