The album name [Yellow Flower] is a combination of member Hwasa's color 'yellow' and Hwasa's name meaning 'flower'. Just as yellow signifies spring and a new start, this is an album where the music and talent of Mamamoo, who will make their first start in 2018, bloom.
This mini-album contains a total of 7 songs. In particular, Mamamoo's leader Solar's self-composed song 'Star Wind Flower Sun' was included as a sub-title song in this album. Before the release, this song was released as a teaser video to express gratitude to fans on Solar's birthday, and it also garnered great interest.
In addition, the intro titled 'From Winter to Spring', the title song 'Starry Night', the solo song 'Getting Calm' with attractive lyrics of Hwasa, the main character of this album's color, and the storytelling lyrics of fishery management are attractive. 앨범인 [Yellow Flower]의 앨범 명은 멤버 화사의 컬러 '옐로우'와 화사의 이름에서 따온 꽃을 뜻하는 '플라워'를 합한 것이다. 노랑이 봄과 새로운 출발을 의미하듯 2018년 첫 출발을 하는 마마무의 음악과 재능이 꽃피우는 앨범이다.
이번 미니앨범에는 총 7곡이 수록되어 있다. 특히, 이번 앨범에는 마마무의 리더 솔라의 자작곡 ‘별 바람 꽃 태양’이 서브 타이틀 곡으로 수록되었다. 이 곡은 발매 전 솔라의 생일에 팬들에게 감사한 마음을 전하기 위해 티저 영상으로 깜짝 공개되며 큰 관심을 모으기도 했다.
