The 7-member boy group Romeo kicked off their comeback with the digital single 'Nightmare' in May and returns with their third mini-album [MIRO]. Romeo, who drew attention for his fresh image in the beginning of his debut, has built up his skills step by step through steady album work and broadcasting activities for a year.
The album title [MIRO] presents the dark and complicated maze with Romeo's unique liveliness and positive energy under the proposition, 'There is no labyrinth without an exit'. It compares the emotions one feels when transitioning from a boy to an adult to a complex maze, and contains a message not to lose hope even when it is difficult and wandering. The fact that the maze has an end means that there must be an exit somewhere, so let's go find it together. Singing with a 'powerful and bright voice' and returning with a powerful and splendid performance, this album is noteworthy for Romeo's upgraded skills.
The title song 'MIRO' is a song about love that approaches like irresistible gravity. It expresses the position of a boy who is lost in the 'maze of charm' that a girl cannot escape. This urban pop genre song with a refreshing and funky guitar riff leads the mood of the song. Composer Yunsu of 'Soultree' was with us.

7인조 보이 그룹 로미오가 지난 5월 디지털 싱글 ‘악몽’으로 컴백의 포문을 열며 세 번째 미니앨범 [MIRO]로 돌아온다. 데뷔 초 상큼한 이미지로 주목받았던 로미오는 1년 동안 꾸준한 음반 작업과 방송활동으로 실력을 차근차근 쌓아왔다.
앨범 타이틀 [MIRO]는 ‘출구 없는 미로는 없다’라는 명제 아래 어둡고 복잡하게만 생각했던 미로를 로미오 특유의 발랄함과 긍정에너지로 선보인다. 소년에서 어른으로 넘어갈 때 느끼는 감정을 복잡한 미로에 빗대어, 방황하고 힘들어도 희망을 잃지 말라는 메시지가 담겨있다. 미로의 끝이 있다는 건 반드시 어딘가에 출구가 있으니 함께 찾아가자는 뜻이다. ‘힘 있고 밝은 목소리’로 노래하며 격 있고 화려한 퍼포먼스로 돌아온 이번 앨범은 로미오의 한층 업그레이드 된 실력에 주목할만하다.
타이틀곡 ‘MIRO’는 거부할 수 없는 중력 같이 다가온 사랑을 노래한 곡으로 도저히 빠져나갈 수 없는 한 소녀의 ‘매력의 미로’ 속에서 헤매는 소년의 입장을 표현했다. 청량하고 펑키한 기타리프가 곡의 분위기를 이끄는 어반 팝 장르의 이 곡은 The Underdogs, The Stereotypes, Dem Jointz 등의 협업과 EXO, 동방신기, 레드벨벳 등과 작업한 디즈(Deez)가 맡았으며, 그의 팀 ‘소울트리(Soultree)’의 작곡가 연수(Yunsu)가 함께했다.
