01 'Keep Ya Head Up'

It is a song that adds sensuous drum programming on top of the old school hip-hop sampling technique and the exquisite boundary of pop sound. It is an attractive song with restrained emotional vocals between Alexander's soft voice and Maruchi's harsh yet warm voice. 02 'SMN (Somunnae)'

'Latin sound? It is a reinterpretation of reggaeton in AXM's own style with the addition of pop and trap bass. It is a song that stands out with the production of Maruchi, who has made numerous reggaeton tracks since 2004 when reggaeton appeared, but has never released it. The addictive theme melody and chorus make the body shake, and the swag lyrics that Alexander and Maruchi tremble in a cute way delight the ears.

현재까지도 동남아시아에 많은 팬들을 가진 U-KISS 의 전 멤버 “알렉산더”와 방송, 드라마, CM 등의 음악감독 출신 “마루치”의 프로젝트 팀 “AXM”의 첫 싱글이 발표되었다.

현재 필리핀에서 국민배우로 칭송 받으며 연기자로 활동중인 알렉산더의 화려한 컴백과 음악감독에서 가수로 데뷔하는 마루치의 시너지를 만끽할 수 있는 프로젝트로 국내 활동보다는 아시아 전역을 대상으로 기획된 음반인 만큼 기존 케이팝과는 차별된 사운드와 분위기가 돋보인다.

세계적인 패션 디자이너 이상봉의 지원과 국내최고의 패션 디렉터 마담 “조- 조명숙”, 한류 1세대 안무가 “크리스탈 리”, CF감독 출신 가수 “폴송” 등 국내외 최고의 스텝들 모두가 AXM 의 노래를 듣자마자 프로젝트 합류를 결정했을만큼 매력적인 음악이 가슴을 울리고 또 귀를 즐겁게 한다.

01 ‘Keep Ya Head Up’

올드 스쿨 힙합 샘플링 작법과 팝사운드의 절묘한 경계 위에 감각적인 드럼프로그래밍이 더해진 곡으로 부드러운 알렉산더의 목소리와 거친 듯 따뜻한 마루치의 목소리 사이에 절제된 감정의 보컬이 매력적인 곡이다. 버거운 삶의 무게를 견뎌내는 우리 모두를 위한 이야기를 어렵지 않게 진심을 담아 잘 표현해 내었다.

02 ‘S.M.N (소문내)’

전세계를 휩쓴 ‘라틴 사운드? 레게톤을 팝과 트랩 베이스를 가미해 AXM만의 스타일로 재해석한 트랙으로 레게톤이 등장한 2004년경부터 지금까지 수많은 레게톤 트랙을 만들었지만 단 한번도 공개하지 않았던 마루치의 프로듀싱이 돋보이는 곡이다. 중독성 있는 테마 멜로디와 후렴구가 몸을 들썩이게 하며 알렉산더와 마루치의 귀엽게 너스레를 떨며 읊어대는 스웨그 가사가 귀를 즐겁게 한다.
