솔로 아티스트이자 프로듀서인 방용국의 두 번째 미니앨범 [THE COLORS OF LOVE]는 [2] 이후 1년 2개월 만에 선보이는 솔로 앨범인 만큼 전곡 작사 작곡에 참여, 탁월한 프로듀싱 실력을 갖춘 아티스트적인 면모를 선보였다. 각 트랙을 유기적으로 연결하였고, 앞선 'Green (Feat. Soovi)'로 한편의 그림 작품을 감상하는 듯한 몰입도를 높이며 한계 없는 변신을 예고한다.앨범 명인 [THE COLORS OF LOVE], 사랑의 색깔이라는 이름과 같이 '사랑'이라는 주제로 만나는 설레임과 따스함 그리고 시린 이별 후 아픔, 그리움까지의 감정을 그만의 느낌으로 각 감정을 색깔에 비유하여 한편의 명화 작품과 같은 음악으로 탄생되었다. 음악을 미술적으로 표현하여 실물 앨범 또한 두 개의 버전으로 나눴다.
