앨범은 청춘과 젊음을 노래한 [POST YOUTH]에서 선보였던 보이콜드의 음악관을 다시 한번 전한다. 이번 앨범에서도 '미숙한 사랑'이라는 뜻의 'DAFT LOVE', '철없는 시절'이라는 뜻의 'Salad Days' 등의 표현을 통해 본인 특유의 느낌으로 '젊음'이라는 키워드를 해석했다. 특히, [DAFT LOVE]는 'DAFT(미숙함)'를 표현한 전반 5트랙, 'LOVE(사랑')을 표현한 후반 5트랙으로 나눈 서사적 구성이 돋보여 음악 팬들이 앨범 전체를 즐길 수 있도록 방향성을 제시한다.
