이번 앨범은 리더 라온(LAON)이 뮤직비디오와 앨범 기획 전반적인 부분에 직접 참여하여 자체제작 아이돌이라는 수식어의 의미를 한층 더 강화했다.

첫 데뷔곡인 bloom이 '탄생, 피어남' 을 주제로 기획한 '꽃봉오리 뢰() ' 시리즈의 첫번째 곡이었다면, 이번 W.A.Y는 그 세계관의 두번째 곡이라 볼 수 있다.
