2016년 2월 12일, 김재중이 솔로 앨범 [NO.X(녹스)]를 발표한다.

지난 2013년 10월, 첫 번째 정규 앨범 [WWW] 발매 이후 2년 4개월 만에 2번째 정규 앨범으로 돌아온 김재중의 이번 앨범은 브릿팝, 블루스, 포스트그런지, 하드락, 팝펑크, 발라드 등 다채로운 장르의 열두 트랙을 담고 있다. 반년에 걸쳐 준비한 이번 앨범에 김재중은 자작곡 2곡을 비롯하여 총 9곡의 작사에 참여, 보다 완성도 높은 앨범을 위한 노력을 기울였다는 후문.
