Woollim Entertainment's first girl group , Lovelyz, released their debut album [Girls' Invasion] .
[Girl's Invasion], the first debut album in Lovelyz's career, was released.
The title song 'Candy Jelly Love' is a song where you can feel the sweet taste of candy and jelly just by listening to the music. Yoon Sang himself explained the work, saying, "I carefully selected each and every sound as if I were making sweet food rather than music," and as a result, a debut song perfect for a lovely group called Lovelyz was completed. The music video for 'Candy Jelly Love' was directed by DigiPedi, and it captured Lovelyz's unique and wacky charm in a classroom setting.
Pre-released on the 10th, 'Good Night Like Yesterday' showed the results with good results on various music charts, delivering complete music that would not be considered a female idol debuting to the public. “There is a lot of adult ballad music in the world, but there seems to be almost no ballad music by real girls,” said OnePiece, a composition team created by Yoon Sang, and lyricist Kim Ea-na, who tried to express the girl’s first feelings about a breakup through sound.
'Farewell Chapter 1' looks like a sad ballad song from the title alone, but it's even an exciting pop dance song. The minor and major chords are naturally varied, and the complex feelings of separation are expressed in a girlish way. It is music like a puberty girl who is very sad but bursts into laughter in an instant.
'Secret Travel' captures a girl going on a trip with her boyfriend without her parents' knowledge. Even so, I couldn't really go far, but I thought that it would feel like I was going to a faraway place, so I borrowed an exotic melody and the rhythm of Shibuya Kei to complete the music.
And Lovelyz put the single tracks of the members of Lovelyz, which had been released over the past three years, into their first full-length album. Babysoul's 'Better Than Others', which showed off her charm as a vocalist in a duet with Wheesung, 'She's a Playboy' re-recorded by Babysoul and Kei in the Lovelyz version, and Yoo Jiae and Sweetune's meeting to create sweet excitement. All the tracks that were released, including 'Delight', which was included in the music, and Jin's 'Only You', which became a hot topic with EXO's Xiumin's appearance at the time of the music video release, were re-mixed and recorded to suit Lovelyz.
The mastering of the album was done by Choi Hyo-yeong, the best engineer in Korea, and Stewart Hawks, a world-renowned engineer from Metropolis, UK, who spared no effort in the first step of Lovelyz.

울림 엔터테인먼트의 첫 번째 걸 그룹- 러블리즈가 데뷔 앨범 [Girls’ Invasion]을 발표했다.
K-POP에서 가장 존경 받는 작곡가 윤상이 생애 처음으로 맡은 걸그룹의 앨범으로 알려지며 발매 전부터 앨범의 퀄리티에 대해 주목 받은 러블리즈의 생애 첫 데뷔 앨범 [Girl’s Invasion]이 공개되었다.
타이틀 곡 ‘Candy Jelly Love’는 음악만 들어도 캔디, 젤리 같은 달콤한 맛들이 느껴지는 곡이다. 윤상 본인은 “음악이 아니라 마치 달콤한 음식을 만들 듯 사운드의 하나하나를 세심히 골랐다”고 작업을 설명했고 그 결과 러블리즈라는 사랑스러운 그룹에 딱 맞는 데뷔 곡이 완성되었다. ‘Candy Jelly Love’의 뮤직비디오는 DigiPedi가 연출을 맡아 교실을 배경으로 러블리즈만의 독특하고 엉뚱한 매력을 화면에 담아냈다.
지난 10일에 선공개된 ‘어제처럼 굿나잇’은 대중에 첫 선을 보이는 여자 아이돌이라고 생각할 수 없을 만큼 완성형 음악을 들려주며 각종 음원 차트에서 좋은 성적으로 결과를 보여주었다. “어른들의 발라드 음악은 세상에 많지만 진짜 소녀들의 발라드 음악은 거의 없었던 것 같다”라며 윤상이 만든 작곡팀 OnePiece와 김이나 작사가는 소녀가 느끼는 이별에 대한 첫 감정을 소리로 표현하려 노력했다.
‘이별 Chapter 1’은 제목만 봐선 슬픈 발라드 노래 같지만 심지어 신나기까지 한 팝 댄스 음악이다. 마이너 코드와 메이저 코드를 자연스럽게 변주하며 이별에 대한 복잡한 감정을 소녀스럽게 풀어냈다. 마구 슬프다가도 순식간에 웃음 꽃이 피어나는 사춘기 소녀 같은 음악이다.
‘비밀여행’은 부모님 몰래 남자 친구와 여행을 떠나는 소녀의 모습을 포착했다. 그래봤자 사실은 멀리 떠날 수도 없지만 마음만은 먼 곳으로 떠나는 기분일 것이라는 생각에 이국적인 느낌의 멜로디와 시부야케이의 리듬 등을 차용하여 음악을 완성했다.
그리고 러블리즈는 그동안 3년여에 걸쳐 발표했던 러블리즈 멤버들의 싱글 트랙들을 첫 정규 앨범에 담았다. 휘성과의 듀엣으로 보컬리스트로서의 매력을 선보였던 베이비소울의 ‘남보다 못한 사이’, 베이비소울과 케이가 러블리즈 버전으로 재녹음한 ‘그녀는 바람둥이야’, 유지애와 스윗튠이 만나 달콤한 설레임을 음악에 담았던 ‘Delight’와 뮤비 공개 당시 엑소 시우민의 출연으로 화제가 되었던 진의 ‘너만 없다’까지 공개되었던 모든 트랙을 다시 러블리즈에 맞게 믹스를 다시 해 수록하는 정성을 쏟았다.
앨범의 마스터링은 국내 최고의 엔지니어 최효영 기사와 영국 Metropolis의 세계적인 엔지니어 Stewart hawks가 동시에 달라 붙어 러블리즈의 첫 걸음에 노력을 아끼지 않았다.
