Boy band ONEWE will release their first single album [MEMORY: illusion] on December 11th.
ONEWE is a 5-member talented band from RBW, consisting of Yonghun (vocals), Kanghyun (guitar), Harin (drums), Dongmyeong (keyboards, vocals), and CyA (keyia/bass, rap). Showing a wide musical spectrum, they have been loved by many listeners and at the same time have shown off the appearance of a self-proclaimed genius band.
In particular, the first single album [MEMORY: illusion], which was made with the theme of this memory, is an album that can convey warm sensibility and comfort to the public who are tired of the corona blue era.
As they have participated in and worked on all the songs released since their debut, this album also boasts a high degree of perfection as the members work on it and are filled with their passion and effort.
The first track, 'TRAUMA (Aquarium)', was inspired by member CyA's trauma after falling into deep water. It is an alternative rock with strong colors.
The title song of the second track, 'A book in Memory', is a self-composed song written by member Yonghoon inspired by a movie. Damam is a warm rock ballad. Along with the dreamy atmosphere, the song was heightened towards the second half with ONEWE's unique band sound and guitar sound, capturing the story of the two of us that was like a novel.

원위(ONEWE)는 용훈(보컬), 강현(기타), 하린(드럼), 동명(키보드, 보컬), CyA(키아/베이스,랩)로 구성된 RBW의 5인조 실력파 밴드로, 그동안 독보적이고 한계 없는 넓은 음악적 스펙트럼을 보여주며 많은 리스너들에게 사랑을 받음과 동시에 자타공인 천재 밴드의 면모를 과시해왔다.
특히 이번 기억을 테마로 이루어진 첫 번째 싱글 앨범 [MEMORY : illusion]는 코로나블루 시대에 지친 대중들에게 조금이나마 따뜻한 감성과 위로를 전할 수 있는 앨범이다.
데뷔이래 발매한 모든 곡에 참여, 작업해온 만큼 이번 앨범 역시 멤버들이 작업하여 그들의 열정과 노력이 가득 채워져 높은 완성도를 자랑한다.
첫 번째 트랙 ‘TRAUMA (Aquarium)’는 멤버 CyA(키아)가 깊은 물에 빠진 뒤 생긴 트라우마에 영감을 얻어 작업을 시작한 곡으로, 트라우마를 떠나간 인연에 비유한 CyA(키아)만의 독보적인 트렌디한 색깔이 강하게 들어가 있는 얼터너티브 록이다.
두 번째 트랙 타이틀곡 ‘기억 속 한 권의 책 (A book in Memory)’은 멤버 용훈이 한 영화에 영감을 받아쓴 자작곡으로, 데뷔곡인 ‘다 추억 (Reminisce about All)’에 이어 ‘기억’을 담은 원위표 따뜻한 락 발라드이다. 몽환적인 분위기와 함께 후반부로 갈수록 강렬한 원위(ONEWE)만의 밴드 사운드와 기타 사운드로 고조되어 가며 소설 같았던 우리 둘의 이야기를 담아냈다.

특히 이번 기억을 테마로 이루어진 첫 번째 싱글 앨범 [MEMORY : illusion]는 코로나블루 시대에 지친 대중들에게 조금이나마 따뜻한 감성과 위로를 전할 수 있는 앨범이다.
데뷔이래 발매한 모든 곡에 참여, 작업해온 만큼 이번 앨범 역시 멤버들이 작업하여 그들의 열정과 노력이 가득 채워져 높은 완성도를 자랑한다.
첫 번째 트랙 ‘TRAUMA (Aquarium)’는 멤버 CyA(키아)가 깊은 물에 빠진 뒤 생긴 트라우마에 영감을 얻어 작업을 시작한 곡으로, 트라우마를 떠나간 인연에 비유한 CyA(키아)만의 독보적인 트렌디한 색깔이 강하게 들어가 있는 얼터너티브 록이다.
두 번째 트랙 타이틀곡 ‘기억 속 한 권의 책 (A book in Memory)’은 멤버 용훈이 한 영화에 영감을 받아쓴 자작곡으로, 데뷔곡인 ‘다 추억 (Reminisce about All)’에 이어 ‘기억’을 담은 원위표 따뜻한 락 발라드이다. 몽환적인 분위기와 함께 후반부로 갈수록 강렬한 원위(ONEWE)만의 밴드 사운드와 기타 사운드로 고조되어 가며 소설 같았던 우리 둘의 이야기를 담아냈다.
세 번째 트랙 ‘기억 세탁소 (Eraser)’은 원위(ONEWE) 메인 프로듀서 전다운 작곡가의 곡이다. CyA(키아)가 함께 작업 한 곡으로, 지우고 싶은 기억을 담아낸 곡이다. 담담하고 절제하며 기억에 대한 이야기를 하고 있지만, 격정적이고 타이트한 템포의 대조가 오히려 기억의 굴레에서 벗어나고자 하는 애처로움이 묻어난다.
이어 ‘기억 속 한 권의 책 (A book in Memory) (inst.)’까지 총 4트랙으로 이루어진 원위의 첫 싱글 앨범 [MEMORY : illusion]은 더욱 성숙해진 원위(ONEWE)의 음악을 보여준다. 이번 앨범을 통해 다시 한번 독보적이고 다채로운 원위(ONEWE)만의 음악을 대중들에게 선보일 예정이다.

강한 감정의 동요를 불러일으키는 사건은 트라우마를 만든다.
‘TRAUMA(Aquarium)’는 CyA가 깊은 물에 빠진 뒤 생긴 트라우마를 떠나간 인연에 비유한 얼터너티브 록이다. 강렬하고 감각적인 편곡 위에 각 멤버들의 색깔이 짙게 표현된 보컬과 연주가 돋보인다. 강렬한 기타 사운드를 기반으로 그 속에 담긴 감정의 굴곡을 잘 표현했다.

소설 같던 우리의 이야기는 기억 속에 남았다. 기억의 끝에서부터 시작되는 두 사람의 이야기는 수많은 감정과 함께 활자로 새겨졌지만, 아직 전하지 못한 이야기가 있어 끝내 책을 덮지 못했다.
서정적인 피아노와 오케스트라에 얹어 담담하게 시작하는 이야기는, 진행될수록 기억 속 지나간 이야기가 아닌 매일 찾아오는 밤과 아침처럼 늘 항상 그 자리에 있음을 깨닫게 된다. 기승전결이 명확한 드라마틱한 가사에 화려하게 펼쳐지는 오케스트라 사운드와 강렬한 밴드 사운드가 빛을 발하며 이야기 속으로 인도한다

누구나 가지고 있는 사랑했던 기억, 행복했던 기억, 슬펐던 기억, 아팠던 기억.
이 중에 말끔히 지우고 싶었던 기억이 있을 것이다.
마치 때 묻은 빨래감은 언제든 하얗게 돌아오듯 기억 또한 쉽게 지워졌으면 하는 바람을 노래한다.
담담하고 절제하며 기억에 대한 이야기를 하고 있지만, 격정적이고 타이트한 템포의 대조가 오히려 기억의 굴레에서 벗어나고자 하는 애처로움이 묻어난다. 시각적 상상력을 자극하는 가사는 기억 더미 속에 묻힌 이들에게 공감을 불러일으킨다.
