From January to June 2022, 9001, which finished the monthly project by releasing 6 single albums and continued its non-stop activities until the solo concert 'I Was A HERO' in July, returned with the 7th single album 'Mannequin'.
This single album contains three songs, including the title song 'Mannequin', 'Stupid Boy' and 'Another Me'. The title song 'Mannequin' is a song that throws a message by comparing the appearances of people who have lost their individuality to mannequins that are printed identically in factories. It is a song that expresses the desire of artists who want to break out of the show window and sing their own songs with their true selves, wearing their own clothes, with a texture that only 9001 can show. 2022년 1월부터 6월까지 6개의 싱글 앨범을 발매하며 월간 프로젝트를 마무리하고 7월 단독 콘서트 'I WAS A HERO'까지 쉼 없는 활동을 이어가고 있는 9001이 7번째 싱글 앨범 'Mannequin'으로 돌아왔다.
이번 싱글 앨범은 타이틀곡인 'Mannequin'을 비롯하여 'Stupid Boy', 'Another Me'까지 3곡이 수록되어 있다. 타이틀곡 'Mannequin'은 개성을 잃은 사람들의 모습을 공장에서 똑같은 모습으로 찍혀 나오는 마네퀸에 비유하여 메시지를 던지는 곡이다. 갇혀 있던 쇼윈도를 깨고 나와 진정한 자기 모습으로 나만의 옷을 입고 나만의 노래를 부르고 싶은 예술가들의 소망을 9001만이 보여줄 수 있는 질감으로 담아낸 곡이다. 특히 이번 'Mannequin' 뮤직비디오를 통해 기존에는 보여주지 못했던 강렬하면서도 카리스마 있는 비주얼을 시도한 조곤은 외적인 변화만큼이나 세련되어지고 인상적인 퍼포먼스를 통해 한층 발전된 모습을 보여주고 있다. 이번 'Mannequin'의 필청 포인트 중의 하나인 주원의 워킹 베이스 형식의 연주 또한 뮤직비디오를 통해 확인할 수 있다.
