CIKI 1st EP [BUSY DOING NOTHING]

Even in the daily life of doing nothing, the day goes by hectic after fighting countless different emotions. Even if someone looks like they're doing nothing, you never know how busy they are with their day. There are so many things around us that make people busier than anyone else, such as unstoppable depression and anxiety, endless insomnia, and endless worries.

In 'BUSY DOING NOTHING', I tried to capture the process of going on a trip after receiving 'Hyeonta' for simple but complicated reasons in everyday life. It doesn't look special, but it's an album that writes down the most ordinary daily life and emotions like an essay.

No matter what you do to appease your depression, you will only run away from me. We need practice to be a little more calm.

02. Long sleep
Sometimes I have a very good dream, but I wake up unexpectedly. If you fall asleep trying to connect again, you wake up again soon. Realizing that there is no use in trying to paste it somehow, he tries to stop his sad heart. Just like our relationship.

CIKI 1st EP [BUSY DOING NOTHING]

아무것도 하지 않는 일상 속에서도 수없이 많고 다른 감정들과 싸우고 나면 하루가 정신없이 흘러갑니다. 누구에겐 아무것도 하지 않는 것처럼 보일지라도, 그 사람이 실은 얼마나 많은 것들을 하며 바쁘게 하루를 보내는지는 알 수 없습니다. 멈출 수 없는 우울함과 불안함, 끝이 보이지 않는 불면증, 쉴 새 없이 이어지는 고민 등 사람을 그 누구보다 바쁘게 만드는 것이 주변에 너무나도 많습니다.

'BUSY DOING NOTHING'에서는 일상 속에서 간단하지만 복잡한 이유들로 '현타'를 받고 여행을 떠나게 되는 과정을 담아보았습니다. 특별하게 보이지 않지만 가장 보통의 일상과 감정들을 한 편의 수필처럼 써 내려간 앨범입니다.

우울함을 달래보려 무얼 해봐야 내게서 멀리 달아날 뿐이다. 우리는 조금 더 담담해지려는 연습이 필요하다.

02. 긴 잠
문득 아주 좋은 꿈을 꾸고 있었는데 원하지 않게 깨어버리는 경우가 있다. 다시 이어지려고 잠에 들면 금세 또 깨어버린다. 어떻게든 붙여보려고 해도 이제는 소용이 없다는 사실을 깨닫고 서글픈 마음을 애써 멎어낸다. 우리의 관계가 그렇듯.

03. 알고 싶지 않은 것들 (Feat. mingginyu)
사람 사이의 관계에 이미 금이 가 있다는 짐작이 들 때, 어떻게든 애써 외면하고 싶은 마음. 그리고 알고 싶지 않은 것들.

작년 여름부터 생각을 줄이고자 매년 속초에 한 번 들리곤 했습니다. 그때 겪었던 것들을 적어냈습니다.
