Kim Sejeong talks about 'how to take a break' through this album. [I'm] is an album that honestly captures the feelings and thoughts I felt when I looked back at myself, who ran without a break since my debut.

김세정은 이번 앨범을 통해 ‘쉬어 가는 방법’을 이야기한다. [I’m]은 데뷔 이후 쉴 틈 없이 달려온 자신을 돌아보았을 때 느낀 감정들과 생각들에 대해 솔직하게 담아낸 앨범으로 본인의 생각을 담아 내기 위해 앨범에 수록된 전곡의 작사 작곡에 참여하였다.
타이틀 ‘Warning’ 곡 작업을 하면서 ‘쉬어 가도 괜찮아’라는 생각을 했다고 한다. 사람은 누구나 어느 순간 한계를 느끼는 순간이 있다. 하지만 그때를 눈치채지 못한 채 끝을 모르고 달리다 터져버리면 주체할 수없이 아프게 된다. 쉬어야 할 땐 쉬어 가자, 쉬어야 다음을 나아가는 걸음이 가벼워질 것이다.
이렇게 김세정은 자신만의 색깔로 ‘위로’하려 한다. 우리들은 때론 밝고 청량한 음악을 들으며 위로 받지 않는가. ‘Warning’이 바로 그런 곡이었으면 한다고 그녀는 말한다.
느끼는 모든 것에 솔직한 김세정
김세정은 이번 앨범에 수록된 전 곡을 자작곡으로 채웠다. 매일 만지고 밤마다 대화하던 아버지가 선물해 주신 곰인형 ‘Teddy Bear’. 어둠이 내려앉은 산책길, 달만이 나를 비추는 때에 색과 무드를 담은 ‘밤산책(Do dum chit)’. 내일을 버티게 해줄 사랑하는 이와 집에서의 소소한 일상을 담은 ‘집에 가자’. 그리고 사랑 앞에 겁먹은 자의 고민을 담은 ‘아마 난 그대를’까지 일상을 살아내는 김세정 만의 감상이 오롯이 담겨있다.
