As the name suggests, it will honestly contain the many things that girl group Mamamoo has been through for 7 years, the honest feelings they are feeling now, and their thoughts about the future. The 11th mini-album [WAW], announced with a notice of its beginning, splendidly decorates the prelude to the epic.

Mamamoo's 11th mini-album [WAW]'s 'Where Are We' walks silently and vigorously for 7 years, reminiscing about the many things we've encountered in the seasons that have passed, and asking questions to 'us' ourselves. Where am I standing now, how much more do I have left to go? It's just abstract questions with no answers, but one thing is certain: you've been with us on any journey.

The title song 'Where Are We Now' begins on the corner of the street where you and I are standing. We don't know what point we're standing at right now, but we're together at this moment, and we convey our preciousness and gratitude to those beautiful days we ran together through several seasons. And I don't know what road will unfold in the future, but I sing that we will walk together not far. Mamamoo's explosive vocals and rich chords in the string sound, sometimes calm like a breeze and sometimes magnificently harmonious, are enough to capture listeners' ears.

The 11th mini-album [WAW] fills all b-side tracks with ballads, including the title song 'Where Are We Now', and impresses with Mamamoo's voice. "Tomorrow You, Today Me (Another Day)" sings calmly while preparing for a breakup in a relationship that has lost meaning, and "A Memory for Life" melts the dejected feelings of trying to erase the past existence into a lyrical melody. 2 (Destiny Part.2), which was included in the 2nd regular album and received a lot of love, was re-arranged with Mamamoo's delicate vocals and beautiful piano melody, and was recorded as the fifth hidden track. 지난 10월 '딩가딩가 (Dingga)', 'AYA'를 연이어 발매하며 매 앨범 다채로운 모습을 선보였던 마마무가 데뷔 7주년을 맞아 ‘Where Are We(WAW)’ 프로젝트를 가동했다. 그 이름에서 알 수 있듯이 걸그룹 마마무가 7년을 달려오며 겪었던 수많은 일들, 지금 느끼는 솔직한 감정과 미래에 관한 생각 등을 진솔하게 담아낼 예정이다. 그 시작을 예고하며 발표한 열한 번째 미니앨범 [WAW]는 대서사의 서막을 화려하게 장식한다.

마마무의 열한 번째 미니앨범 [WAW]의 'Where Are We'는 7년이라는 시간 동안 묵묵히 또 힘차게 걸어오며 지나온 계절 속에 마주했던 수많은 일을 다시금 회상하며 ‘우리들’ 스스로에게 질문을 던진다. 내가 서 있는 이곳은 어디인지, 앞으로 가야 할 길은 얼마나 더 남은 건지. 답이 없는 추상적인 질문들뿐이지만, 한 가지 확실한 것은 어떤 여정이든 네가 함께 있었다는 사실이다.

타이틀 곡 ‘Where Are We Now’는 너와 내가 서 있는 그 길목 위에서부터 시작된다. 우린 지금 어느 시점에 서 있는지 알 수는 없지만 지금 이 순간 함께 있고, 몇 번의 계절을 지나 함께 달려온 그 어여쁜 나날들에 소중함과 감사함을 전한다. 그리고 앞으로 어떤 길이 펼쳐질지는 모르지만, 멀지 않은 곁에서 함께 걸어갈 것임을 노래한다. 때로는 산들바람처럼 잔잔하게, 때로는 집어삼킬 듯 웅장하게 조화를 이루는 스트링 사운드에 담긴 마마무의 폭발적인 보컬과 풍부한 화음은 리스너들의 귓가를 사로잡기에 충분하다.
