ITZY will release their new mini album 'GOLD' and the title track 'GOLD' and 'Imaginary Friend' on October 15th.

ITZY, who appeared like a comet in the music industry on February 12, 2019 with the digital single 'IT'z Different' and the title song 'Dalla Dalla', has been showing off their presence as a 'representative 4th generation K-pop girl group' by captivating fans' hearts with not only solid skills but also powerful performances and various charms. Recently, they released their mini-album 'BORN TO BE' on January 8 and their world tour of the same name 'ITZY 2ND WORLD TOUR ', they performed 32 times in 28 regions around the world, spreading their global presence and delivering thrilling stage energy to audiences at home and abroad.

The new album 'GOLD' contains ITZY's story and music that shines brightly like the album title, based on the theme of "Our World is still different." Establishing the group's unique color with challenging and enterprising energy and a unique concept, they melted the album's message, "We are still different and will continue to be different," into various visual contents. The trailer video maximizes the uniqueness by showing the five members' eccentric appearances that break away from the typical mold. The teaser image also contains individuality with bold and original styling and extraordinary momentum, further revealing ITZY's musical color and identity.

In particular, through this album, they will present double title tracks for the first time since their debut. The title track of the same name as the new album, 'GOLD', compares the overwhelming emotions and unfamiliar feeling of the moment when 'my' world completely changes after meeting 'you' to the sparkling 'GOLD'. The song harmoniously crosses over the intense rock sound of electric guitar, groovy drums, and 808 bass hip-hop sound, and the powerful vocal shouting and charismatic rapping that overwhelm the atmosphere stand out. The 'GOLD' music video, which depicts the story of those who seek gold being captivated by ITZY who shines even brighter, presents a different charm by adding unrealistic elements to the real world with wit and a sense of scale.

Another title track, 'Imaginary Friend', is a pop dance song that combines vintage pop guitar, acoustic band sounds, and sweet vocal harmonies. The lyrics are ambiguous, with the line between whether the one who appears in a fantasy one day and says he will protect and give me strength is an angel, a devil, or myself, maximizing the listener's imagination and increasing the fun of listening.

The new album contains a total of 11 tracks including the two title tracks, "Bad Girls R Us," "Supernatural," the fan song "FIVE" commemorating the group's 5th debut anniversary, "VAY (Feat. Changbin of Stray Kids)" featuring Changbin of Stray Kids, and the final versions of "BORN TO BE," "UNTOUCHABLE," "Mr. Vampire," "Dynamite," and "Escalator" from the previous album completed by the five members. The album's completeness was enhanced by the credits of renowned writers including K-pop hit maker Ryan Jhun, famous American producer Dem Jointz who has worked with many pop stars, and popular lyricists Jo Yoon-kyung and Bang Hye-hyun.
