Monni 2nd Album 2010 Modern Rock Masterpiece!!

Now is the moment, [This Moment.]
There were ironic moments that were not easily caught. Very fast, but the times that would have been very slow for the band required the band Mongni to wait and grow.

"Second album in 5 years" It was a long, long time, but it was a time of ups and downs that was never boring. It was just a [moment] after I sent it.
And it did not disappoint and presented 'this moment' to Monni.
Mongni's music contains intersecting events, memories, and emotions.
This album was completed with the [hands] and [hands] of the members. I tried to capture even the sound that could be simply produced by a computer by hand. The result is that 12 of the total 14 songs were recorded live, excluding 2 songs. So, when listening to the album, the sound, breathing, emotional transfer, and warmth of the members as they rub their flesh together are conveyed intact to the listener.
The title song [Leaving Me] was written and composed by vocalist Kim Shin-eui, and expressed the sound of a dry road with only a simple composition of instruments. Also, it is characterized by maximizing love and sorrow for the person who will be endangered by leaving me rather than my own heart.
Mongni's frontman vocal Kim Shin-eui is a versatile artist who wrote and composed Ji Hyun-woo's [One-Eyed Fish] in 2005 and received a lot of love from the public, and also appeared in the musical [Rocky Horror Show]. For Mongni's second album, popular rock band Jaurim's guitarist Lee Seon-gyu as producer and bassist Kim Jin-man participated in mixing. The result of the participation of members with deep knowledge of sound as producers is the birth of musical diversity and sound modernity.
In particular, because of the participation of the two seniors who understand the music world of the band Mongni better than anyone else, Mongni was able to complete their sound even more.
Mongni is a band that can predict the future of the Korean modern rock scene. [Sonagi], a song from their 1st album, is still very much loved by fans, and it was selected for the [Rookie Music Awards Indie Musician] section hosted by the Korea Creative Content Agency in 2009.

This is because the 2nd album [This Moment], released after 5 years, will proudly place Monni of the present moment, completed through moments of the past, at the center of modern rock in Korea.

지금은 순간, [This Moment.]
손쉽게 잡히지 않는 얄궂은 순간들이 있었다. 엄청 빠른, 하지만 밴드에겐 굉장히 더뎠을 시간들은 밴드 몽니에게 기다림과 성장을 요구했다.

"5년만의 2집" 길고 긴 시간이었지만 결코 지루하지만도 않았던 굴곡의 시간들. 보내고 나니[순간]이었을뿐.
그리고 그것은 기대를 져버리지 않고 몽니에게 '이 순간'을 선사했다.
몽니의 음악 속엔 교차되는 사건과 추억, 감정이 고스란히 담겨있다.
이번 앨범은 멤버들의 [손]과 [손]이 어우러져 완성됐다. 단순히 컴퓨터로 찍어 낼 수 있는 사운드까지 손으로 담으려 한 것이다. 총 14곡의 수록곡 중 2곡을 제외한 12곡을 라이브로 녹음해 낸 것이 그 결과다. 그래서 앨범을 듣노라면 멤버들 간에 살을 부대끼며 내는 소리, 호흡, 감정 전이, 따뜻함이 리스너에게 고스란히 전달된다.
타이틀 곡인 [나를 떠나가던]은 보컬 김신의가 작사, 작곡을 하였으며 단촐한 악기 구성만으로 건조한 길의 소리를 표현해냈다. 또, 내 마음보다는 나를 떠남으로 인해 위태로워질 그 사람에 대한 사랑과 애절한 감정을 극대화시킨 것도 특징이다.
몽니의 프론트 맨인보컬 김신의는 2005년 지현우의 [외눈박이 물고기]를 작사, 작곡하여 대중들에게 많은 사랑을 받았으며, 뮤지컬 [록키 호러쇼]에도 출연한 바 있는 다재다능한 아티스트다. 이번 몽니의 두 번째 앨범에는 인기록 밴드 자우림의 기타리스트 이선규가 프로듀서로, 베이시스트 김진만이 믹싱에 참여했다. 사운드에 대해 조예가 깊은 관록의 멤버가 프로듀서로 참여한 결과는 음악적 다양성과 사운드적 모던함의 탄생이다.
특히, 그 누구보다 밴드 몽니의 음악 세계를 잘 이해하고 있는 두 선배의 참여이기에, 몽니는 더욱 더 자신들의 사운드를 완성할 수 있었다.
몽니는 자타공인 한국 모던 록 신의 미래를 가늠케 할 수 있는 밴드다. 이들의 1집 수록곡 [소나기]는 여전히 팬들에게 많은 사랑을 받고 있으며, 2009년 한국콘텐츠진흥원 주관 [루키뮤직어워드 인디뮤지션] 부분에 선정된 것만 보아도 그렇다.

5년 만에 발표한 2집 [This Moment]는 과거의 순간을 통해 완성된 지금 이 순간의 몽니를 한국 모던 록의 중심에 당당히 올려둘 것이기 때문이다.
