이번 드라마는 주인공 황희태 역의 이도현, 김명희 역의 고민시, 이수찬 역의 이상이 그리고 이수련 역의 금새록 이라는 네 명의 청춘 배우들이 보는 이들을 그 시절의 사랑과 애절한 감성에 빠져들 수 있게 연기해줘 많은 시청자들에게 감동을 안겨 주었다.

“오월의 청춘” OST에는 그 시절 우리가 사랑했던 스타일의 음악들을 드라마에 맞게 아름답게 나타내준 10팀의 아티스트가 참여하여 드라마 장면마다 추억들을 소환해주며 드라마의 장면장면들을 더욱 기억할 수 있게 만들어주었다.
