지난 4월부터 탄탄한 스토리를 가진 콘텐츠들을 순차적으로 공개한 AB6IX(임영민, 전웅, 김동현, 박우진, 이대휘)가 앨범을 오는 5월 22일 발표한다.이번 앨범은 AB6IX 모두 멤버들이 직접 작사, 작곡, 프로듀싱, 랩 메이킹 및 안무 제작에 참여해, 좋은 음악을 가지고 팬들을 만나고 싶은 마음을 담은 앨범으로 완성시켰다.
여기에 PRODUCE 101 시즌2에서 브랜뉴보이즈로서 처음 선보이며 많은 관심을 이끌었던 ‘HOLLYWOOD’를 다섯 명의 것으로 최근 재탄생시켜 이번 앨범에 수록해 그 의미를 더했다.
그룹명 AB6IX는 5명의 멤버와 팬덤이 합쳐져 비로소 완전체가 된다는 뜻의 'ABSOLUTE SIX'(앱솔루트 식스)와 브랜뉴뮤직의 새 지평을 열겠다는 뜻의 'ABOVE BRANDNEW SIX'(어보브 브랜뉴 식스)를 결합해 지었다.
