In 2013, BIGBANG did their best to improve their individual capabilities and showed good results. Daesung successfully completed his solo tour by releasing his solo album 'Discover' in Japan, Seungri showed off his active activities in Japan along with his domestic solo album, and G-Dragon and Taeyang further solidified their positions as artists through their solo albums. T.O.P released 'Doom Dada' at the same time as the release of his movie 'Classmate', showing off his ability to kill two birds with one stone. Through these activities, everyone grew and had meaningful times. And after spending time building up their individual skills like the main characters in a comic book, they reunited and BIGBANG, now a full five-member group, shook up the Japanese archipelago. With a total of 16 performances, 770,000 viewers, and the first overseas artist to tour Japan's six major domes, they have been touring Japan for the past few months, unleashing the power of the name 'BIGBANG' without reserve. And going back to the beginning, they held a Seoul concert for their domestic fans, the source and driving force of their popularity, and once again impressed BIGBANG's presence by mobilizing over 36,000 people over three days. To commemorate this concert, which has become stronger and more meaningful, the live album [2014 BIGBANG +α IN SEOUL] is being released. It contains BIGBANG's greatest hits such as "Last Greeting," "FANTASTIC BABY," and "Lies," as well as live recordings of individual solo songs released last year by BIGBANG, as well as the sound of BIGBANG's breathing with passion on stage and the cheers of fans who are enthusiastic about BIGBANG. 2013년 한 해 동안 빅뱅은 각자의 역량을 높이는데 최선을 다했고, 좋은 결과를 보여줬다. 대성은 일본에서 솔로앨범 ‘디스커버’를 발매해 솔로 투어를 성공적으로 마무리했고 승리는 국내 솔로앨범과 함께 활발한 일본 활동을 보여주었으며, 지드래곤과 태양은 솔로 앨범을 통해 아티스트로서 입지를 더욱 탄탄하게 했다. 탑은 영화 ‘동창생’ 개봉과 동시에 ‘둠다다’를 발표해 두 마리의 토끼를 모두 잡는 성과를 보였다. 이러한 활동을 통해 모두가 성장했고, 의미 있는 시간을 보냈다. 그리고 마치 만화 속 주인공들처럼 각자 내공을 쌓는 시간을 가진 후 다시 뭉쳤고, 5명의 완전체가 된 빅뱅은 일본 열도를 뒤흔들었다. 총 16회 공연, 동원된 관객 수 77만, 해외 아티스트 최초 일본 6대 돔투어. 지난 몇 개월 간 일본 투어를 돌며 ‘빅뱅‘이라는 이름이 가진 파워를 아낌없이 쏟아냈다. 그리고 초심으로 돌아가 인기의 근원이자 원동력인 국내 팬들을 위해 서울 콘서트를 개최했고, 3일간 3만 6천여 명을 동원하며 다시 한 번 빅뱅의 존재감을 각인시켰다. 더욱 강해지고, 더욱 큰 의미를 가지게 한 이번 콘서트를 기념하기 위해 발매되는 라이브 앨범 [2014 BIGBANG +α IN SEOUL]에는 ‘마지막 인사’ ‘FANTASTIC BABY’ ‘거짓말’ 등 빅뱅의 최고 히트곡들을 비롯해 지난해 발표한 빅뱅 개개인의 솔로곡 라이브 음원과 무대에서의 열정이 고스란히 담긴 빅뱅의 숨소리, 빅뱅에 열광하는 팬들의 함성소리가 그대로 담겨 있다는 점이 큰 의미로 와 닿는다. 말 그대로 빅뱅과 팬이 함께 만든, 어찌 보면 가장 ‘빅뱅스러운’ 음악이라 할 수 있는 것이다.
