Microdot's first full-length album 'PROPHET'

'PROPHET', the first regular album of 'Microdot', is a NO SKIT album with 26 songs. Production started on December 1, 2016, and was completed on October 25, 2017. Independent artist 'Microdot' produced this album by making an album with 26 songs, 4 music videos, a double CD and 2 photo books without any investment. Since I made money through music, I think the correct answer as an artist is to unsparingly invest all my passion and capital in my music in order to grow even more.
Each song has a deep meaning, and the story was naturally told based on my numerous experiences. This album is composed of positive and hopeful songs, from warm songs like 4 seasons to upbeat songs and cold and cold songs in one album.
This album contains many of my personal stories. I sang about my love story as well as my difficult but enjoyable experiences as I ran towards the hardships and success of my family who lived far away. Also, it has only been 2 years since I came back to Korea, but I also put in the lyrics about my feelings, thoughts, and changed mindset during that time.
I have built a friendship with all the artists who participated in the feature by directly recruiting them, and I collaborated with them by inviting the artists who seemed to fit the best for each song. If you listen to the album, you will feel the feeling of collaboration more strongly than simple featuring. I express my great gratitude to all the participating artists who willingly held my hand without any conditions. 'Microdot' My goal for this album is to hope that each listener will find something they can relate to. I want my songs to shed tears when they come out, to laugh and express emotions when they laugh, and to feel hope, inspiration, and positivity while listening to the messages in each song.
For the songs 'If I don't have you' and 'Dining Table', 'Microdot' took on the challenge of singing for the first time. I've been interested in singing since I was little, but now I'm confident I'll give it a try.
I worked with the main producer 'Stoner Tunes' (team 'Pray4 Productions') from start to finish. This is an album that we have been working hard on together for 11 months as we share our hearts and thoughts. All mixing was also done with Stoner Tunes, and the album's second half finishing work and all mastering were completed through New York's 'Avec Plaiser'. Like this, the chemistry of the three of us is also perfect.

‘마이크로닷’의 첫 정규 앨범 ‘PROPHET’은 26곡이 담긴 NO SKIT 앨범입니다. 2016년 12월 1일부터 제작이 시작되었으며, 2017년 10월 25일에 마무리된 프로젝트입니다. 인디펜던트 아티스트 ‘마이크로닷’은 어떠한 투자도 없이 26곡이 담긴 앨범과 뮤직비디오 4개, 더블CD와 포토북 2권을 만들면서 이번 앨범을 총괄 제작하였습니다. 나는 음악으로 돈을 벌었으니, 더욱더 성장하기 위하여 자신의 음악에 모든 열정과 자본을 아낌없이 투자하는 것이 아티스트로서의 정답이라고 생각하고 있습니다.
각 곡마다 그 의미가 깊으며, 나의 수많은 경험을 바탕으로 자연스럽게 이야기를 풀어 내었습니다. 이 앨범은 긍정적이고 희망찬 곡으로 구성되어 있으며, 마치 4계절처럼 따뜻한 노래부터 신나는 노래, 냉정하고 차가운 노래까지 한 앨범에 실려있습니다.
이 앨범에서는 나의 개인적인 이야기를 많이 담아내었습니다. 멀리 떨어져 지내온 나의 가족의 고생과 성공을 향해 달려가며 힘들지만 즐거웠던 경험들과 나의 사랑이야기도 노래했습니다. 또한 한국에 돌아온 지 아직 2년밖에 지나지 않았지만, 그 동안 느끼고 생각과 변해왔던 마음가짐에 대해서도 가사에 담았습니다.
피쳐링에 참여한 모든 아티스트들을 직접 섭외하면서 그들과 친분을 쌓아왔고, 각 곡마다 제일 어울릴 것 같은 아티스트들을 섭외하여 그들과 협업을 했습니다. 앨범을 듣다 보면, 단순한 피쳐링보다는 콜라보레이션의 느낌이 더 강하게 느껴질 것입니다. 나는 아무런 조건 없이 선뜻 나의 손을 잡아준 모든 참여 아티스트분들에게 너무나 큰 감사함을 표합니다. 이 앨범을 대한 ‘마이크로닷’ 나의 목표는, 듣는 사람마다 공감할 수 있는 점들을 발견하길 바라는 것입니다. 나는 나의 노래를 통해 눈물이 나오면 흘리고, 웃음이 나면 웃으면서 감정표현도 되고, 각 곡마다 담긴 메시지를 들으며 희망과 영감, 나의 긍정을 느꼈으면 합니다.
‘If I don’t have you’, ‘Dining Table’ 곡에서는 처음으로 ‘마이크로닷’이 노래에 도전을 했습니다. 어렸을 때부터 노래에 대한 관심이 컸지만, 이제서야 시도해 볼 자신이 생겼습니다.
메인 프로듀서 ‘Stoner Tunes’ (팀 ‘Pray4 Productions’)와 함께 처음부터 끝까지 작업을 했습니다. 마음과 생각을 서로 나누면서 호흡을 마치며 11개월 동안 함께 열심히 작업해 온 앨범입니다. 모든 믹싱도 Stoner Tunes와 함께 하였으며, 음반의 후반 마무리 작업 및 모든 마스터링은 뉴욕의 ‘Avec Plaiser’ 통해 앨범을 완성시켰습니다. 이렇게 우리 3명의 케미도 찰떡궁합입니다.
