In that sense, 20-year-old Yoo Seung-woo's new album <Pit a Pat> is the result of passing through the freshness of a teenager and even the freshness of a young man. This album unfolds a fragment of youth in front of your eyes with a familiar but not clichéd development. It is Yoo Seung Woo-sik's speech method that tells the cycle of unripe love sequentially.

Among them, the title song 'How are you? (Feat. Crucial Star)' is a representative song that captures the change of his mature emotions at the point of separation. Composer Kim Do-hoon of 'Because You're Beautiful (Feat. Louie Of Giggs)', which topped the music charts last year, once again completed the framework of a hit song, and Brother Su translated his depressive feelings after a breakup into lyrics. 소년과 청년의 경계에 선 청춘은 묘한 매력을 풍긴다. 그런 의미에서 스무살 유승우의 새 앨범 < Pit a Pat >은 10대의 풋풋함을 지나 청년의 싱그러움까지 고루 담은 결과물이다. 이 앨범은 익숙하면서도 진부하지 않은 전개로 청춘의 단편을 눈앞에 펼쳐놓는다. 설익은 사랑의 싸이클을 순차적으로 들려주는 유승우식의 화법이다.

그 중 타이틀곡 ‘뭐 어때 (Feat. 크루셜스타)’는 그의 성숙한 감정의 변화를 이별의 시점에서 담아낸 대표곡이다. 지난해 음원차트 1위에 오른 ‘예뻐서 (Feat. 루이 Of 긱스)’의 작곡가 김도훈이 또 한번 히트곡의 틀을 완성했고, 브라더수가 이별 후 먹먹한 감정을 가사로 옮겼다. '가끔 눈물 나게 함께 웃던 일도, 때론 소리치며 둘이 싸운 일도 잊으면 되는데 별일 아닌 건데..’라며 제법 대범하게 대처할 줄 아는 스무살의 이별 노래. 수줍게 바라만 보던 소년의 한 뼘 더 자란 감정이기도 하다.

그간 담백한 포크 스타일을 고수해온 유승우는 보컬 톤에서도 변화를 꾀했다. 직접 작사, 작곡을 맡은 ‘점점 좋아집니다’ ‘스무살’ 2곡은 능숙한 완급조절로 풋풋한 로맨스를, 여성 싱어송라이터 우효와 함께 한 듀엣곡 '선 (45.7cm) (Feat.우효)’은 깨끗한 하모니로 설렘의 감정을 풀어냈다. 덕분에 5곡은 아련한 옛 사랑을 생생히 재현하듯 하나의 이야기처럼 연결된다. 여기에 파스텔톤의 재킷 이미지는 순수한 사랑이라는 일관성을 부여한다. 마음을 감추기엔 속이 훤히 보이는 투명한 마음처럼 깨끗한 이미지를 표현했다.
