CLASS:y는 2022년 2월 종영한 MBC 글로벌 K팝 걸오디션 '방과후 설렘'을 통해 탄생했다. 평균 연령 16세의 무한한 성장 가능성의 7인조로, 방송 당시 11주 연속 '비드라마 화제성 부문 1위'를 차지하는 등 글로벌 K팝 팬들에게 많은 사랑을 받았다.
