지난 2015년 ‘딱 좋아’, ‘니가 하면’ 등 중독성 강한 멜로디로 음악 팬들을 사로잡은 GOT7이 더욱 업그레이드 된 음악으로 돌아왔다.

3월 21일 발매된 GOT7의 미니앨범 'FLIGHT LOG : DEPARTURE'는 최근 KBS 2TV 수목드라마 '태양의 후예' OST 'Everytime'을 작업한 작곡가 'earattack'과 '변방의킥소리'를 중심으로 새롭게 포진된 프로듀서진이 참여, GOT7의 새로운 모습을 발견할 수 있는 앨범으로 탄생됐다.

이미 예고된 대로 이번 미니앨범을 통해 GOT7 멤버들은 작사-작곡에 참여하며 음악적 역량을 맘껏 발휘했다. 공동 프로듀서로 새롭게 가세한 멤버들은 기존에 GOT7이 선보이지 않았던 새로운 장르의 음악을 도입, 신선함을 더했다. 또한 JYP 소속 신예 밴드 DAY6의 멤버 Young K가 작사에 참여하여 더욱 든든한 앨범이 됐다.
