The new album released as a solo singer after 3 years contains his own color enough to be titled 'IT'S ME'. 솔로 가수로 3년만에 발표하는 새 앨범은 '잇츠 미'(IT’S ME)란 타이틀을 붙일 만큼 자신의 컬러를 고스란히 담았다. 국내외 히트 메이커들과 교류하면서도 하나하나 자신의 색을 덧입히는 등 프로듀싱에 적극 참여한 음반이다. 편견과 장르의 장벽을 허물었다는 건 이번 앨범의 성과로, 다양한 시도를 들려주며 한 장르에만 갇히지 않는다. 대부분의 노래에서 효린은 핵심을 강조하고 그 밖의 구간은 직선적인 가창이나 기교를 최소화한다. 정직하게 진행된 멜로디나 편곡이 여러 블랙뮤직의 틀과 닮아있음에도 분명한 색을 드러낸 음악이다.
타이틀곡 ‘파라다이스’는 당당하게 자신감있는 자세로 사랑을 쟁취하는 여성상을 그린 알앤비 펑키 장르의 곡으로, 그루브한 비트에 능숙하게 멜로디를 타는 효린의 표현력이 돋보이는 노래다. 히트 프로듀서 박근태, 최진석이 작곡을 맡았고 싱어송라이터 선우정아가 감각있는 노랫말을 붙였다. 특히 보컬을 근간으로 한 랩 싱잉을 통해 자연스럽고 우아한 흐름도 만들어낸 도입부도 인상적이다. 민첩하게 움직이는 보컬의 그루브가 유려하다.
