한 번의 얼굴공개로 여러 포털사이트의 검색순위 1위를 기록하며 큰 화제를 모은 레인보우는 사진과 티저를 공개하며 조금씩 베일을 벗고 있으며, 청순-발락-섹시한 다양한 모습들로 공개시마다 화제를 불러일으키고 있다.

김재경(20),오승아(21),고우리(21),노을(20),정윤혜(19),김지숙(19),조현영(18)으로 구성된 이들은 연습생 시절부터 7명으로 구성된다는 소문에 의해 레인보우라는 가명을 얻어 왔으며, 데뷔를 앞두고 팀명을 고민하던 중 7명의 각자 다른 매력을 표현하기에 적합하고 팬들이 만들어진 의미있는 이름이라 RAINBOW(레인보우)로 팀명을 확정지었다.

총 5곡이 수록된 레인보우의 첫 번째 미니앨범의 타이틀 곡 [Gossip Girl]은 작곡가 허윤원의 곡으로 [Gossip Girl]은 단어가 가지고 있는 기존의 부정적인 이미지보다 당당하고 언제나 자신을 꾸밀 줄 아는 여성의 모습을 긍정적으로 표현한 곡으로 레인보우의 느낌에 잘 어울리는 밝고 STYLISH 한 SYNTH POP이다.
이 곡은 최대한 FRESH 한 이미지와 STYLISH한 이미지에 중점을 두었으며 가사 단어 하나하나에 여성들이 선호하는 소품이나 느낌을 표현하는데 주력하였다.

[Gossip Girl]과 마지막까지 타이틀곡의 경합을 벌인 [NOT YOUR GIRL]은 기존의 음악들과 달리 악기 세션을 최대한 배제하고 [NOT YOUR GIRL] 의 여러 편곡 중에서 어렵게 고르고 MIXDOWN시에도 여러VERSION중에서 관계자들의 심사숙고한 모니터한 결과 지금 앨범에 실린 7번째 VERSION을 최종VERSION으로 어렵게 결정했다.
앨범에 실리지 않았던 다른 여러 VERSION들은 각종 특별무대를 위해 하나씩 공개될 예정이다.
이 외에도 작곡가 한재호, 김승수 콤비의 또 다른 야심작으로 SYNTH 악기의 장점을 최대한 살리면서 빠른 템포의 댄서블한 곡이지만 아픈 심정을 상대방을 향한 간절함으로 표현해 MESSAGE를 전달하고 있는 [I BELIEVE] 작곡가 이주형의 곡으로 여러 노래 가사 중에서 노래가사가 확정되지 않은 상태에 이곡을 모니터 하던 SS501의 멤버 박정민군이 애착을 가지고 특별히 직접 가사를 쓴 [Kiss] 마지막 트랙을 장식하고 있는 발라드 곡 [참아볼께요]는 처음 도입부에 퍼커션사운드에 어쿠스틱기타 선율을 가미시키고 8비트의 반복적인리듬과 트랜드한 신스사운드가 잘 이루어져 기존 발라드에서는 찾아볼 수 없는 독특한 사운드의 시도가 엿보이는 곡으로, 보컬부분에서는 파워풀한 가창력과 숨소리하나까지 멤버들의 어린 나이라고는 믿기지 않을 정도의 감정을 이곡에 표현했다.
