One of the footsteps of the rock band Crackshot over the past 9 years, the physical CD of their 2nd regular album “NEW WAVE” is back in front of fans in celebration of its 3rd anniversary.

The album “NEW WAVE”, which contains the traces of their 2019 achievements, which Crackshot, the band that won the Super Band 2 championship, wanted to share with fans. It was evaluated as an album that well melted the emotions and emotions, and all the songs made considering the performance in live performances are greatly loved by fans who became aware of Crackshot after Super Band 2.

The first song, “Walking On Fire,” reminiscent of glam metal (LA Metal) that occupied Hollywood in the 80s, and the second song, “Shake It,” feel the intensity of heavy metal and the energy of punk rock, and are in charge of the highlight of the crackshot performance. Focusing on the title song “Follow Me” armed with an addictive chorus, you can feel the musical direction of the band called Crackshot in 2019 and the energy they want to show live. “Never Say You Loved Me” that you can feel “Don’t Close Your Eyes” that delivers explosive energy that can only be felt with heavy sound “Let Me Out,” Cyon’s first work together since the 2nd album, “Slow Motion,” a cheerful love song, etc. I tried to create a different atmosphere for each song with a variety of sounds.

록밴드 크랙샷이 걸어온 9년의 발자취 중 하나인 그 들의 정규 2집 앨범 “NEW WAVE”의 실물 CD가 발매 3주년을 맞아 팬들 앞에 다시 돌아왔다.

슈퍼밴드2 우승의 주역이 된 밴드 크랙샷이 팬들과 나누고 싶어 했던 그들의 2019년 당시 행적이 고스란히 남아있는 앨범 “NEW WAVE”는 밴드의 음악적 밑바탕이 되었던 글램록/메탈의 사운드를 중심으로 멤버 개개인의 개성과 감성을 잘 녹여낸 앨범으로 평가받았으며, 라이브 공연에서의 연주까지 감안하여 만든 모든 수록곡들이 슈퍼밴드2 이후에 크랙샷을 알게 된 팬들에게 크게 사랑받고 있다.

마치 80년대 할리우드를 점령했던 글램메탈(LA메탈)을 연상시키는 첫 곡 “Walking On Fire”와 헤비메탈의 강렬함과 펑크록의 에너지가 함께 느껴지는 두 번째 수록곡 “Shake It” 그리고 크랙샷 공연의 백미를 담당하는 중독성 있는 후렴구로 무장한 타이틀곡 “Follow Me”를 중심으로 2019년 당시 크랙샷이라는 밴드의 음악적 방향, 그리고 라이브에서 그들이 보여주고자 하는 에너지를 느껴 볼 수 있으며 독특한 감성과 록음악 특유의 날카로움이 느껴지는 “Never Say You Loved Me” 헤비한 사운드에서만 느낄 수 있는 폭발적인 에너지를 들려주는 “Don't Close Your Eyes” 2집부터 함께 했던 싸이언의 첫 작품 “Let Me Out” 경쾌한 러브송 “Slow Motion”등 다채로운 사운드로 곡마다 다른 분위기를 연출하려 시도했다.

인디밴드로서는 드물게 화려한 기타 테크닉이 돋보이는 잘 짜인 기승전결의 연주곡 “Broken Love”도 수록되어 있으며 유일한 파워 발라드 넘버인 “My Friend”도 팬들의 많은 사랑을 받고 있는 중이다.

빈센트 특유의 카랑카랑한 보컬과 윌리K의 거칠지 만 아름다운 기타, 묵직하면서도 따뜻한 싸이언의 베이스, 그리고 밴드의 사운드를 근본부터 탄탄하게 잡아주는 대니 리의 강렬한 드럼. 이 네 명이 만들어내는 강렬한 음악의 파도에 다시 한 번 몸을 맡겨보자.
