Description (Translated):

This album is for those who have experienced loss of home and life.
It was conceived with the hope of not giving up and rekindling hope in life.
The area where we live, Hwasun Dongbokho, was created in the 1980s to solve the problem of drinking water circulation.
The construction of the Dongbokho Dam brought about a large influx of immigrants.
They had to leave their hometown and find a new place to live, and in the process they experienced a sense of loss.
As members of a generation, we deeply sympathized with their pain.
I have met with them several times with the intention of being with them.
Their stories and experiences were not theirs alone,
I realized that this is the story of all of us living in the same era.
We hope to become each other's courage and create a life where we can live together.
Through this creative activity, we go beyond the era of loss.
I hope that everyone will have hope and achieve reconstruction and a new leap forward at every moment.

A new beginning is a chronicle of the challenges presented to us each day.
Before we take our first step, we take a moment to catch our breath and make a plan for the journey ahead.
We move forward little by little, constantly wondering if the path is right and if we are going in the right direction.
When today passes, tomorrow will come again, and that too will mean another beginning.
Set off is the moment we often pass by, the moment we run forward without looking back.
We reminisce about the pure memories of childhood that we all have experienced and recall the journey we took during those times.
The beginning of a new voyage, a record of departure


Remembered mind : Remembered mind

What is the memory that is stored deepest in your heart?
The moment when I had to leave my hometown against my will as a child, and missing my hometown that was submerged in water
It contains the stories of residents who only shed tears.
Looking into the inner river that resides in each of our hearts,
I faced my sorrow and wounds hidden deep in the water, which I could not reveal to anyone.
I hope you find a moment of healing through this song.


Rebuilding : Reconstruction

This song is a follow-up to Remembered Mind, and unlike the previous songs, which contain the pain and sorrow of a child who lost his hometown during his childhood,
It was created from a new perspective of a young child who becomes a parent of a child 30 years later and looks at his hometown submerged in water.
At the heart of this album is a journey of memories, a journey back in time and a hometown that has changed. Our old footage, captured on faded video tapes,
The pure laughter of children and the warm voices of parents that can be heard in it. Time has passed and we can no longer see the images, but they remain intact in our hearts, replacing our lost hometown.
Rebuilding is not simply a record of loss, but a journey of looking at a hometown submerged in water, and finding new meaning in it even as the memories of it fade.
Now, home is no longer a physical place, but lives in our hearts as beautiful childhood memories that have been “rebuilt.”
This album contains a longing for what has been lost, as well as a fervent desire to rebuild that longing.
At the intersection where past and present, memory and reality intertwine, we once again relive our hometown, those times, and the love of those times.


Warm mind : Onjeong

This song was composed with the belief that 'there is warmth in everyone's heart'.
Just like I feel happy when I listen to good music,
I wanted to express the happiness that touches the warm heart through music.
The warmth I felt
I hope this song conveys a message to the listeners.


Heal my mind : Up

Last summer, on an unusually hot day, there was a maple tree visible beyond the practice room window.
Looking at the fallen leaves that should have turned red in the fall, but have not yet turned red, and are burned by the strong sunlight,
A variety of emotions came to mind: gratitude, joy, anxiety, sadness, depression, thirst.
This song is about my teenage years, depicted through the light of maple trees.
I share this song with my teenage friends and you who are currently contemplating their future paths.
I dedicate this song to those of you who are by my side, whom I am grateful for.


Shooting star : shooting star

Shooting star is a song of encouragement for everyone who lives their lives writing a new story every day.
The phrase “shining” in the lyrics is not just a compliment, but also carries the meaning that they can shine even brighter when they are together.
I wanted to convey the message that although we may not realize it when we are alone, we can shine even brighter when we are “together.”
I hope this song brings a little comfort and strength to your day.


Star on the horizon : Star on the horizon

This song was created based on inspiration from the sea of Jeju Island.

The sail across the horizon seems to symbolize our lives.
Even in a life where peaceful and beautiful moments continue,
We often find ourselves in situations where we have to face strong waves and overcome them.
These challenges are a natural part of life and ultimately an inevitable process of growth and progress.
And throughout the journey, the stars on the horizon are like symbols of hope that brighten the dark night.
It guides us and gives us the strength to keep moving forward.


Continuous Sailing : Continuous Sailing

It occurred to me that sailing across the horizon was like our lives.
Even in the days of beauty and peace, there are times when we face rough waves.
We come to realize that life is not always smooth sailing.
Nevertheless, we are beings who must overcome those waves and move forward.
In the end, it must continue without stopping.
We conclude the album's journey by playing our hopeful life.

<Artist Introduction>
This is the Duroo Art Ensemble, which was formed in early 2016 and has been going on for 9 years. It is a group that carries out various activities in the fields of music, performance, and art, and has been recognized for its music production and performance planning, and has won many awards in domestic competitions. It is based on original compositions in the Duroo Art style as well as jazz standards.

이 앨범은 고향과 삶의 상실을 경험한 이들이
주저앉지 않고, 삶에 대한 희망을 다시 일구어 가기를 바라는 마음으로 구상되었습니다.
저희가 사는 지역, 화순 동복호는 1980년대 식수 순환을 해결하기 위한 목적으로
동복호 댐이 건설되면서 많은 이주민을 맞이하게 되었습니다.
그들은 고향을 떠나 새로운 삶의 터전을 찾아야 했고, 그 과정에서 상실감을 경험했습니다.
저희는 한 세대의 구성원으로서 그들의 아픔에 깊은 공감을 했고,
그들과 함께하는 마음으로 여러 차례 만남을 가졌습니다.
그들의 이야기와 경험은 그들만의 것이 아니었으며,
같은 시대를 살아가는 우리 모두의 이야기라는 것을 깨닫게 되었습니다.
우리는 서로의 용기가 되어, 함께 살아가는 삶을 만들어 가길 소망합니다.
이 창작 활동을 통해, 상실의 시대를 넘어
희망을 품고, 매 순간 재건과 재도약을 이루어가는 모든 이들이 되기를 바랍니다.

새로운 시작은 우리에게 매일 주어지는 도전의 연대기입니다.
우리는 첫걸음을 내딛기 전에 잠시 숨을 고르고, 앞으로 나아갈 여정을 위한 계획을 세웁니다.
그 길이 옳은지, 내가 가는 방향이 맞는지 끊임없이 고민하며 우리는 조금씩 나아갑니다.
오늘이 지나면, 내일이 다시 찾아오고, 그 또한 또 다른 시작을 의미할 것입니다.
Set off는 우리가 흔히 지나쳐온 순간들 속에서, 앞만 보고 달려온 우리의 발자취를 지나
누구나 겪었던 순수한 어린 시절의 기억을 되새기며, 그 시절의 여정을 떠올려봅니다.

여러분의 마음속 가장 깊은 곳에 담아둔 기억은 무엇인가요?
어린 시절, 원치 않게 고향을 떠나야 했던 순간과, 물에 잠긴 고향을 그리워하며
눈물만을 흘렸던 주민들의 이야기를 담아냈습니다.
각자 마음 속에 자리한 내면의 강을 들여다보며,
그 깊은 물속에 숨겨진, 누구에게도 꺼내지 못한 나의 슬픔과 상처들을 마주하고
이 곡을 통해 치유의 순간을 찾기를 바랍니다.


Rebuilding : 재건

이 곡은 Remembered Mind의 후속작으로, 그 당시 어린 시절 고향을 잃어버린 아이의 아픔과 설움이 담긴 전곡과는 달리,
작았던 아이가 30년 후 한 아이의 부모가 되어 물에 잠긴 고향을 바라보는 새로운 시선에서 창작되었습니다.
이 앨범의 중심에는, 변해버린 고향과 시간을 거슬러 올라가는 기억의 여정이 있습니다. 누렇게 바랜 비디오 테이프 속에 담긴 우리의 옛날 영상들,
그 속에서 들려오는 어린아이의 순수한 웃음소리와 부모님의 따뜻한 목소리. 시간이 지나 이제는 그 영상을 볼 수 없지만, 그것들이 사라진 고향을 대신해 우리의 마음속에 고스란히 남아 있습니다.
Rebuilding은 단순한 상실의 기록이 아닌 물에 잠긴 고향을 바라보며, 그 기억이 희미해져가고 있지만, 그 속에서 새로운 의미를 찾아가고자 하는 여정입니다.
이제 고향은 물리적인 장소가 아니라, 우리 마음 속에서 다시 "재건"된 아름다운 어린 시절의 추억으로 살아갑니다.
이 앨범은 잃어버린 것에 대한 그리움과 동시에, 그 그리움을 재건하고자 하는 간절한 소망을 담고 있습니다.
과거와 현재, 기억과 현실이 얽히는 그 교차점에서, 우리는 다시금 고향을, 그 시절을, 그리고 그 시절의 사랑을 되살려냅니다.


Warm mind : 온정

'모든 사람들의 마음속엔 따뜻함이 있을거야' 라는 믿음에서 작곡된 곡입니다.
좋은 음악을 들을 때 행복하듯이,
따뜻한 마음에 닿는 행복을 음악으로 표현하고 싶었습니다.
제가 느꼈던 따스함이
청취자께 이 곡으로 전해지길 바랍니다.


Heal my mind : 위로

지난 여름, 유난히 뜨겁던 한 날, 연습실 창문 너머로 보였던 단풍나무가 있었습니다.
가을에 붉게 물들어 떨어져야 할 낙엽들은 아직 물들지 않은 채, 강렬한 햇빛에 의해 타버린 낙엽들을 보며
여러가지 감정들이 떠올랐습니다. 감사, 기쁨, 불안, 슬픔, 우울, 갈증
이 곡은 제 10대 시절을 단풍나무로 빛대어 표현한 곡입니다.
현재 진로를 고민하고 있는 10대 친구들과 여러분들에게 이곡을 전하며
옆에 있어주는 감사한 그대들에게 이 곡을 전합니다.


Shooting star : 별똥별

Shooting star는 매일 새로운 이야기를 써 내려가며 살아가는 모든 이들에게 전하는 응원의 노래입니다.
가사 속 “빛나고 있어” 라는 말은 단순한 찬사가 아니라, 함께할 때 비로소 더 빛날 수 있다는 의미를 담고 있습니다.
혼자일 때는 미처 깨닫지 못할 수도 있지만, “우리” 이기에 더욱 찬란하게 빛날 수 있다는 메시지를 전하고 싶었습니다.
이 노래가 여러분의 하루에 작은 위로와 힘이 되길 바랍니다.

이 곡은 제주도 바다에서 받은 영감을 바탕으로 창작되었습니다

우리는 종종 거센 파도를 마주하며 이를 극복해야 하는 상황에 직면합니다.

그리고 그 모든 여정 속에서, 수평선 상의 별은 어두운 밤을 밝혀주는 희망의 상징처럼

수평선을 가로지르는 항해는, 마치 우리의 삶 같다는 생각이 들었습니다.
아름다움과 평온이 흐르는 날들 속에서도, 언젠가는 거센 파도를 맞이하게 되듯,
삶도 언제나 순탄하지 않음을 우리는 깨닫게 됩니다.
그럼에도 불구하고, 우리는 그 파도를 넘으며 앞으로 나아가야 하는 존재들입니다.
마지막에는 멈추지 않고 끊임없이 지속되어야하는
우리의 희망적인 삶을 연주하며 앨범의 여정을 마무리 지었습니다.

2016년 초,중생들로 구성되어 9년째 이어오고 있는 두루아트앙상블 입니다. 음악, 공연, 예술 분야에서 다양한 활동을 펼치는 단체로, 특히 음악 제작, 공연 기획으로 인정을 받아 국내 콩쿨에서 다수의 수상 경력을 갖고 있습니다. 재즈스탠다드 뿐 아닌 두루아트 스타일의 창작곡을 기반으로 활동하고 있습니다.
